Filming and Photography Inquiry Form

Thank you for your interest in filming or photography at the San Diego Convention Center! Please complete the form below, and a representative of our Sales team will follow up with you. 

Availability is limited, as all filming and photography must take place around scheduled event activity. Our primary purpose is to host meetings and conventions that create economic benefits for the San Diego region. To help us evaluate your request, please include all potential dates, times, and SDCC locations you’re considering. 

Licensing Fees start at $1,600 per location for still photography and $4,000 for live-action filming. Proof of insurance is required at the time of contract signing.  

Please note: 

  • If your filming/photo request is connected to a specific event in the building, please reach out to the event organizer directly. 
  • We are unable to close or block off the Grand Staircase because it must remain accessible to the public. If you require this area to be restricted, you will need to obtain a permit from the Port of San Diego.
