Our Communications team is responsible for creating an integrative and dynamic strategy to connect our goals with our clients, attendees and guests, shareholders, and our community. They manage the website, handle media relations and produce content for all of the convention center's social media channels.
Finance and Accounting
Responsible for our fiscal health and stability, and ensuring all operational needs are met, the Finance department is comprised of the following groups:
The Accounting and Payroll department ensure the timely processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and employee pay.
Our Finance team is responsible for planning and managing our financial resources.
Goods and services used by the SDCCC are coordinated through by our talented Procurement staff.
Our Human Resources team is committed to attracting, hiring, training, and retaining a qualified and dedicated diverse workforce.
The operations team is comprised of talented employees who are experts in managing events, skilled tradespersons, and thoroughly trained facility care staff.
Represented by skilled trades of Carpenters, Electricians, HVAC Technicians, Mechanics, Painters, and Plumbers, these groups ensure operational effectiveness of our building.
The Facility Services team is an integral part of hosting events and caring for our building. Our Building Services team works to set-up rooms and meeting spaces, while Cleaning Services ensures an immaculate facility at all times. Our onsite Grounds employees are responsible for the care and maintenance of the beautiful landscape surrounding our building. The wardrobe department keeps everyone looking sharp and professional by managing employee uniforms.
Responsible for providing a safe and secure facility for our attendees and guests, the Security and Guest Services teams work hand-in-hand to greet attendees, monitor activity in the building, maintain traffic control, and act as a resource for visitors.
Event Services staff are the onsite contact for meeting planners and coordinate all services within our facility to deliver a successful event.
Sales and Services
Our Sales and Services team is the initial contact for planning events at the convention center and strive to understand each client’s needs in hosting a flawless event both inside our facility as well as the San Diego region.
The short-term Sales staff are highly knowledgeable professionals presenting SDCCC’s beautiful location, services, and amenities to prospective clients.
Our Concierge Services team members are the center's dining experts. With contacts to the region's finest dining and culinary venues, our team is available to support your offsite meeting needs and provide attendees with delectable dining options.
Convention Services Managers are an essential asset for any meeting planner to guarantee a successful event in the San Diego region by providing detailed event-related information for local hotels, special venues, attractions, and restaurants.
