Pedestrian Access

The San Diego Convention Center, the City of San Diego, the Port of San Diego and the organizers of Comic-Con International 2019 worked together to formulate this plan. It is a security and safety initiative designed to reduce the crowding and congestion in and around the Convention Center during Comic-Con International 2019.

Additionally, this plan will dedicate the front drive use for attendee and emergency vehicle traffic only. Harbor Drive restrictions allow for shuttle drop-offs, ADA drop-off and pick-up and emergency vehicle use. The maps are provided to communicate areas that remain open and available to the public for access, with and without badges, for the convention.

As long as you have proof of your Comic-Con International 2019 registration, you will be allowed access to be at the San Diego Convention Center to pick up your badges. Upon arrival, you will be directed to enter the Convention Center through the Hall C Lobby.
As part of this security initiative, anyone who is not a badged member may not enter into the area immediately surrounding the Convention Center, as stated above. You will see signs that state that only badged members are allowed access.

Vehicular Access

Unless you have a parking pass for the parking garage at the San Diego Convention Center, you will be directed to turn around by San Diego Police Department Traffic Control Officers.
No. Rideshare drop-offs and pickups are prohibited in the restricted portion of Harbor Drive, the Convention Center front drive and Embarcadero Marina Park South. Rideshare drivers are asked to drop off and pick up riders in locations outside of the restricted area of Harbor Drive in a safe and legal manner. Drivers may not block access to shuttle routes or other street closures/restrictions.

Parking

Please note that after 7am during Comic-Con International 2019, the Convention Center garage (operated by Ace Parking) may only be accessed by permit holders from the First Avenue entrance. Be prepared to show your parking pass.
After 7am on the days of the temporary vehicle restriction of access to Harbor Drive, the San Diego Marriott Marina may be accessed from the First Avenue side of the Convention Center. Be sure to let traffic controllers know that you have a valid parking pass, have a boat docked in the marina, or are a registered hotel guest.
After 7am on the days of the temporary vehicle restriction of access to Harbor Drive, the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel parking garage may only be accessed from the Park Boulevard side of the Convention Center. Be sure to let the traffic controllers know that you are a registered guest or have pre-paid parking.

Shuttles

The front drive will be open to badged members of the convention at all times.

If you are a badged member and need to access the Pink, Blue, Yellow or Teal Shuttles, you will have access to board your shuttle on Harbor Drive. See Attendee Shuttle Map.

All other shuttle stops are located at Petco Park. Your Comic-Con International 2019 attendee guide will show the shuttle and route. You may also visit comic-con.org.

Check in with the accessibility team in Lobby A during Comic-Con International 2019 to get information on your shuttle location, and if needed, an escort. Also visit comic-con.org.

Bikes and Scooters

Due to the impacts on an already congested area, bicycles and scooters must be parked outside of the immediate vicinity of the Convention Center. See Shared Mobility Device Zone Map and Shared Mobility Device Parking Map.
