Former FBI Special Agent Joins San Diego Convention Center Security Team

Todd Temple Hired as New Director of Security for the Convention Center

The San Diego Convention Center has a new security director.

Todd Temple, a decorated special agent with 22 years in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), begins his new role as the Convention Center's Director of Public Safety ­and Guest Services on Tuesday, April 2.

Todd is replacing Josh Layne who left his position after 12 years of service.

Temple is a San Diego native, born and raised in El Cajon. He gratudated from Valhalla High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Law and Society.

The Multi-Cultural Convention Services Network honored our very own DeeAnne Snyder, Director of Event Services, On Thursday, March 14th at the 4th Annual Women in Tourism and Hospitality (W.I.T.H.) Awards Luncheon. In our industry, she is loved and respected by everyone she works with, from clients who have been bringing shows to San Diego over the past 30 years, to neighboring businesses that she has coordinated with during major events, to Convention Center staff who she mentors on a daily basis.
