Free Sunset Yoga Under the Sails at Your Convention Center

Find your flow at the first-ever Sunset Yoga under the Sails at the San Diego Convention Center. Mark your wellness calendar for Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 5:30 PM. As the sun sets, we will illuminate the Sails Pavilion with our new LED colored lights to create a unique, serene ambiance.

We have teamed up on this community event with the Downtown San Diego Partnership, which has produced several popular yoga events around town, including Yoga on the Midway and weekly Free Yoga in the City classes. This event will be event free of charge, as our staff at your Convention Center continues to expand our efforts to open our doors to the community that we serve.

"We specialize in bringing people together from all over the world. It's equally as important for us to bring our own community together to take advantage of this gem in their own backyard," said San Diego Convention Center Corporation Board Chair Gil Cabrera. "What better way to experience your Convention Center than to enjoy an hour of Zen in our iconic Sails Pavilion."

Local yoga veteran and Doctor of Physical Therapy Lauren Padula will teach the gentle, Vinyasa-style class. DJ Justin Kanoya will be setting the mood with his mixing skills. The two have jointly wowed yogis at events like Yoga on Tap and Pacific Beachfest Sunset Yoga. They also regularly collaborate with Lululemon and November Project.

  • When: Wednesday, Aug. 29
  • 5:30 pm Check-In; 6:30 pm Yoga Starts
  • Where: San Diego Convention Center Sails Pavilion
  • Please bring a yoga mat
  • Restrooms will be available to change clothes

Register online HERE to reserve your spot on the floor. Again, this event is free of charge.

We encourage you use public transportation. Take the MTS Green Line and exit at Convention Center. There is parking in the underground garage managed by the Port of San Diego and Ace Parking. They may charge a fee of $15 to park (although fees are subject to change).

If you're a beginner, or you've never tried yoga, don't worry. All levels of experience are encouraged to register. You won't want to miss this first-time event.
