Attendee Amenities: Convenience is Key at the San Diego Convention Center

Located in the heart of downtown, the San Diego Convention Center is near it all: San Diego’s beautiful bay, the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, thousands of hotel rooms, world-famous attractions like the San Diego Zoo, and the San Diego International Airport. Once inside the facility, the convenience continues. When you have a busy day of meetings and are unable to venture out, many of your needs will be met without ever having to leave the building.

The San Diego Convention Center offers an array of convenient lobby amenities with everything from ATMs and a business center to coffee shops and an onsite restaurant.

Rechargable, Portable Charging Stations

All that texting, tweeting, Facebooking and emailing can take a toll on your smartphone and tablet batteries. The Convention Center is happy to announce that there are seven (7) “FuelRod” stations throughout the facility. For just $20, attendees can purchase reusable, portable charging systems called “FuelRods.” You can charge your mobile device on the go, then recharge or swap for a fresh one. There are five stations located in the lobby and two stations on the upper levels (near Ballroom 6 and near Ballroom 20).
