Meeting Planners Voice Support of Contiguous Center Expansion

Clients of the San Diego Convention Center have added their voices to the broad base of local support for the contiguous expansion of the San Diego Convention Center, which faces its last major permitting hurdle on October 10, 2013 before the California Coastal Commission.  The Phase III Expansion will provide San Diego with the largest contiguous exhibit hall on the West Coast, a new 80,000 square foot ballroom and an additional 101,000 square feet of meeting space. A five-acre rooftop park with programmable space and improved views, access to the waterfront and a new 500-room expansion of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel are also part of the expansion proposal.  While the expanded facility will be a new destination for residents and visitors throughout the region, the needs of our clients is an essential part of our expansion program.
